Marco Island

Welcome to Marco Island!
A barrier island South of Naples, Marco Island is home to approximately 16,000 over its 20 square miles. Although bridges form the connections between the Collier County island and mainland, 100 miles of inland waterways provide for on-site island enjoyment.
Beaches, Parks and Recreation
Marco Island boasts 6 miles of white sandy beaches to indulge. The Gulf of Mexico waters surrounding Marco Island contain a spectacular display of exotic species. The tropical seas include Sea Turtles, Barracuda and Spadefish. Tigertail Beach is known not only for its beautiful white sands, but also for its tidal lagoon, shorebirds and shells. When not busy enjoying one of the marinas, incredible golf courses abound. Hideaway Beach Gold Course and The Island Country Club are among them, and, of course, Marco Golf & Garden – miniature golf for smaller fans!
Relax and enjoy a variety of cuisines. Whether the mood strikes for upscale dining or a more casual happy hour, rest assured there is likely an amazing waterfront view available, along with live music at many locations. Theatre entertainment is provided by The Marco Players while the Marco Island Center for the Arts displays art, as well as hosts family events and classes for all.
Education
Marco Island has top-rated schools in its district from preschool ages through high school. Among these are Tommie Barfield Elementary School (PK-5), Marco Island Charter Middle School (6-8) and Marco Island Academy (9-12).
