Located in Lee County, this Florida town was founded in 1957 by two brothers who flew to town over the peninsula and settled in. This area home to approximately 200,000. The city is also known as “Waterfront Wonderland” due to the 400 miles of waterways nearby.
Beaches, Parks & Recreation
Cape Coral is flanked by protected estuary waters from the Caloosahatchee River and Matlacha Pass. There are no Gulf Beaches, however many are a short trip away. Lynn Hall Memorial Park, Lovers Key State Park, Captiva Beach, Lighthouse Beach Park and Yacht Club Community Park each are worth the trip!
Cape Coral boardwalks and piers have some amazing views, along with Sirenia Vista Park, Veterans Memorial Park and Four Freedoms Park which boast areas to bike, kayak, read and relax among other activities. The several waterways and preserves are a known home to manatees. The preserves provide many other opportunities to visit with the wildlife.
Cape Coral have several schools available in the district with top ratings for some. The city’s options include public, private or charter academies.
For those with an interest in theater, Melody Lane Performing Arts Center and Cultural Park Theater are located right in town. The Robin Dawn Academy of Performing Arts is a local dance academy favored by the locals who love to dance.
